On June 11th we toured the Manousakis Vineyard followed by wine tasting. I was surprised to find out that I like red wine! However, my favorite part of this day was touring Yota's husband's packaging plant - Agrocreta. Agrocreta packages local products including oranges, avocados, and olive oil. I thought it was awesome that Manoles was seeing an increase in avocado production and could predict what would happen to prices in coming years. Like the bakery owner we met a few days ago, I thought Manoles' profession is so respectable and wish we could have learned even more (that'll be for Silver's class in Crete in a few years).
